MADE TO LAST
In 1961, when NASA set out to explore the reaches beyond our world, they needed a material that would hold up to the demands of the unknown. Because equipment breaking down in space wasn’t an option, and everyday heroes breaking down under the pressures of daily life is also not an option, Flexon was born.
Using the same alloy NASA used for missile heat shields, Flexon’s memory metal eyewear has been engineered to be flexed, bent, or twisted and return to their original shape. Flexon has incomparable features that provide superior quality making the frames more durable, lightweight, and resistant than conventional metals.
Flexon offers durable and reliable eyewear that can withstand any challenge so you can too. We provide everyday heroes with the strength to face every challenge with eyes wide open. No matter what kind of twists and turns your day takes, we give you the confidence and peace of mind you need to take on the day.

After years of working as a motorcycle parts distributor and as a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit, James ’Jim’ Jannard was tired of constantly being told to ‘shut up and sell.’ It was 1975 when he left his sales job behind in order to start bringing some of his ideas to life and begin building a brand of his own. Using his English Setter as the namesake (Oakley Anne), he began the journey of what would evolve into the most iconic sports eyewear company the world has known. From the beginning, the brand was never distracted by following trends or doing the latest ‘thing,’ and this ability to work towards a unique vision put us on a fixed trajectory: forward. Whenever the template wasn’t available, we created one. When there was no machinery to bring our designs to life, we built it ourselves. And if the skeptics said it wasn’t possible, it just fueled the fire.

Designed in Italy, Manufactured in Brooklyn, New York. A MODO frame is never one-dimensional. It’s not only its design, construction, or material. It’s the sum of all these parts that creates a piece that operates on all levels – a beautiful frame that’s comfortable to wear and stands the test of time.No matter which of our frames you choose, it’s this consistent attention to detail on all frequencies that allows us to trust our process and evolve. By never being static and always moving forward, we thrive in doing what we do best– great eyewear. It’s both as complicated and as easy as that, and that’s exactly how we like it.
